Field Trips for Students

The American Rover offers 1.5 and 2 hour educational cruises departing from Norfolk’s Waterside Marina. Hands-on activities enable students to become active participants in the learning adventure.  On board, students will have the opportunity to set the sails, learn to tie basic knots, hear about the history of ships and sailing and take a turn at the helm while the captain discusses the tools they use to navigate.
