Hamtpon Roads’ Largest In-Water Boat Show to Feature 15 of East Coast’s Top Dealers

Norfolk, VA – (August 16, 2019) – For the second consecutive year, Norfolk Festevents, Ltd. will host the 2019 TowneBank Norfolk In-Water Boat Show presented with Towne Insurance Friday-Sunday, September 13-15, 2019, along the Downtown Norfolk Waterfront.

The only major in-water boat show in the Hampton Roads region, the Norfolk In-Water Boat Show made its grand return to the Downtown Norfolk Waterfront last year after significant interest from Hampton Roads boating industry leaders. A total of 15 of the East Coast’s top dealers and brokers will be showcasing more than 35 premier power boat brands, including both new and used luxury motor yachts, sport fishers, personal watercraft, and much more.

The 3-day event will take place at the Waterside Marina, Town Point Park, and Waterside District. In-water boats will be on display in the Waterside Marina, while on-land boat exhibits will be located in Town Point Park next to the Waterside District.

Prior to 2018’s show, the last Norfolk In-Water Boat Show occurred in 2008, during the downtown of the economy. Boat Show Chairman Chuck Guthrie, the President/Owner of Lynnhaven Marine in Virginia Beach, explains that “the upturn in the boating market, availability of year-end boat deals, display of quality pre-owned boats, the renovation of The Waterside District, the new first-class Hilton “The Main”, great restaurants, and improvements in Norfolk’s downtown area make for a perfect environment for a regional boat show.” Guthrie adds, “Bluewater Yacht Sales Professional Jud Black, Norfolk Marine President Jason Murphy and Prince William Marina Owner Carlton Phillips have been instrumental in the planning process to bring about a show that will best serve our local and regional boating enthusiasts.”
