1st Annual Holiday Tree Lighting in TowneBank Fountain Park: Join Festevents and the City of Norfolk in creating new holiday traditions and memories, as we light the Town Point Park Holiday Tree on Saturday, December 5, 2009, 4pm - 6pm. This brand new event includes a Yule Log Fire and Ceremony, photos by the tree, holiday caroling, and activities to warm the soul and spread holiday cheer! An assortment of holiday foods and beverages will be available for purchase.

The community is invited to bring their own log to be added to the Yule Log Fire!

The Yule Log is a symbol of prosperity and luck. It is believed, if the tradition is followed with sincerity and devotion, it would bring good health, wealth and productivity in the year ahead. The community is invited to bring their own log to be added to the Yule Log Fire!
