Jam Out Along the Elizabeth River At the 6th Annual AT&T Acoustic Music Festival Saturday, September 17, 2011 Town Point Park, Downtown Norfolk, VA Free & Open to the Public Norfolk, VA (September 13, 2011) The 6th Annual AT&T Acoustic Music Festival will take place this Saturday September 17, 2011 from Noon- 10pm in Town Point Park on the Downtown Norfolk, Virginia waterfront. The festival embraces the music of local, regional and national artists on three stages along the Elizabeth River while offering local crafters and artists the opportunity to exhibit and sell their own talents. The 6th Annual AT&T Acoustic Music Festival is free and everyone is w elcome. In its 6th year, the AT&T Acoustic Music Festival has become one of the most popular events in the region for local music lovers as well as a valuable opportunity for musicians to be discovered by local promoters and agents. Local music organizations will be on site to promote their upcoming events and membership, including Natchel’ Blues Network and Tidewater Arts Outreach. Enjoy the many styles and musical personalities at the 6th Annual AT&T Acoustic Music Festival but be sure to also visit the unique vendors on display. From handmade jewelry and clothing to Fair Trade and Green products as well as recordings from the festival musicians, there will be a variety of items that are sure to excite music lovers and art enthusiasts alike. Finally, stop by Ghent staple Belmont House of Smoke’s festival restaurant to indulge in melt-in-your-mouth BBQ, enjoy freshly prepared pitas and hand popped Kettle Corn. Wash it all down with a cool Italian ice or frosty adult beverages while the vibe from the 3 music stages takes you back in. The 6th Annual AT&T Acoustic Music Festival will be hosted by local music industry legends Paul Shugrue, host of “Out of the Box” on WHRV 89.5FM, Barry Graham, host of “Acoustic Highway” on WHRV 89.5FM and Hunter Hughes, host of Hunter at Sunrise on WHRV 89.5FM HD and www.hunteratsunrise.com. Interviews with festival artists will be broadcast liv e throughout the day on WHRV 89.5FM. A portion of the beverage sales will benefit the Kiwanis Club of Churchland.
