Friday, July 1, 2011: 5pm-9pm; TGIF: TowneBank Fountain Park
Start your weekend off right at Norfolk's largest outdoor waterfront party in TowneBank Fountain Park.  Catch the sun setting over the Elizabeth River with friends and family, sip on a cold drink, grab a bite to eat, and jam out to FREE live music from local favorites from all over Hampton Roads.  Omar's Fountain Café offers a full bar and a freshly prepared menu.
Listen to live music from Scott Varney while watching the sun set along the Elizabeth River.

Saturday, July 2, 2011: 7pm-10pm; Dancing under the Stars: TowneBank Fountain Park
Bring you dance on out to TowneBank Fountain Park, Town Point Park every Saturday night from 7pm-10pm for Dancing Under the Stars. DJ Carlos Casanova Munoz will be mixing all the latest hits with a wide range of music from cha0cha, swing, beach, salsa, and line dancing. Come dance the night away under the stars only at the fountain

Monday, July 4, 2011: 5pm-10pm; 29th Annual AT&T Great American Picnic: Town Point Park
Leave the grilling to us on the 4th of July and bring your family and friends down to Town Point Park from 5pm-10pm! Guests can feast on traditional All American Fair, including hot dogs, hamburgers, barbecue, seafood, buttered corn on the cob, juicy watermelon, lemonade... with all the fixin's and much more!
Relax on the lawn and enjoy patriotic sounds by United States Army Training and Doctrine Command Band. Then watch as the sky lights up with the fireworks display at 9:30pm!  This Fireworks show, boosted by the postponed Harborfest show, will be the biggest and best in Hampton Roads!

Come cool off every Wednesday this summer from 11am- 3pm to enjoy family fun at the Fountain! From June until September, enjoy outdoor children's activities, giveaways, music and of course, the dancing fountain! Omar's Fountain Café is also open for that perfect summer lunch.

Saturday, July 9, 2011:  AT&T Reggae Solstice: Town Point Park
Back by popular demand, Norfolk Festevents announced today the return of the AT&T Reggae Solstice on Saturday, July 9, 2011 from 5pm-10pm in Town Point Park on the Downtown Norfolk Waterfront.  This cultural celebration brings dance and music listening together to create a peaceful and positive atmosphere along the Elizabeth River. The AT&T Reggae Solstice is free and open to the public and promises to be the perfect way to celebrate the summer.
 The AT&T Reggae Solstice this year boasts regional and national acts, including The Itals and Kenyatta Hill & Yard Squad,  that will take the stage as the sun sets along the Elizabeth River. Feast on a variety of food, including authentic Caribbean delicacies served up by Lola's Caribbean Restaurant, Seafood, BBQ, and much more. Top off your meal with a sweet dessert, like a cool Italian ice or melt-in-your-mouth Kettle Korn. Then wash it all down with frosty beverages that will be available for purchase.  Festival goers are sure enjoy the spirit of the Islands and the peaceful feel of the summer day.
Come celebrate the return of AT&T Reggae Solstice as the peaceful sounds of reggae  music fill the air. The festivities will begin at 5pm and go until 10pm, Saturday, July 9. Admission is FREE and open to the public.  Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
